Dhokra is a rare , ancient craft and amongst the oldest traditional techniques of metal casting in India, practised for over 4000 years.
The Dhokra metal is an alloy of brass, nickel and zinc that gives antique effect to the castings.
This antique pair of bookends is intricately carved into a deer , weighing 800 grams and measures 8 × 5 inches with a height of 7 inches.
The deer is divided into two pieces to hold the books in between.
